We design fire-tube steam boilers with a unique configuration that incorporates a high-capacity water-tube chamber and a combustion chamber with dual corrugated fire tubes. This combination enables highly efficient heat transfer, increased operational stability, and reliable performance even under demanding conditions.
Client: Metapetroleum (Ecopetrol)
Products: Supply of five (5) fire-tube boilers with water-tube chamber, each equipped with a water preheater.
The system includes: Induced draft fan, Cyclone for gas treatment, and economizer.
Additionally, the following accessories and components are provided:
- Burner designed to operate with heavy crude, Fuel Oil #6, Fuel Oil #4, and mixtures, along with a combustion system.
- Electrical control panel.
- Bag filters.
- Screw conveyor for ash removal.
Maximum Operating Pressure: 170 psi.
Capacity: 60,000 lb/hr with water feed at 105°C.
Norma: ASME S, RETIE.
Sector: Oíl & Gas.

In this project, all the centrifugal fans in the system were integrated with intelligent control through variable speed drives.
These fans manage both the combustion air flow in the dual burners and the back pressure in the combustion chamber. By being controlled by variable speed drives, energy consumption is optimized, combustion efficiency is improved, and both emissions and fuel usage are reduced.
